Silicate High Alumina Brick

From Harbour Refractory — reference entry

Silicate high alumina brick is a shaped alumino-silicate refractory used for structural furnace masonry and backup layers.

Description

Produced with graded alumina–silicate aggregates and binders, then fired or cured to develop strength and thermal stability. Selection of grade, shape, and installation method follows lining design, temperature range, and chemical environment.

Applications

  • Kiln and furnace structural masonry
  • Back-up layers in multi-layer linings
  • General high-temperature structures using alumino-silicate chemistry

Packaging

  • Supplied on pallets with protective wrapping
  • Clear labels for specification and batch tracking
  • Handle to prevent edge chipping

Storage

  • Store in a dry warehouse; avoid prolonged humidity
  • Keep packaged until installation
  • Use FIFO to maintain lot consistency
