Ferromolybdenum
Ferromolybdenum is an alloy used to introduce molybdenum into steels to influence high-temperature strength and corrosion behavior in specified grades.
Description
Small additions of molybdenum can shift transformation temperatures and improve creep resistance in appropriate alloys. Addition point and size are selected per steelmaking route.
Applications
- Alloying addition in alloy and stainless steels
- Composition adjustment during ladle treatments
- Foundry additions for wear and heat resistance
Packaging
- Bagged or bulk on pallets with product labels
- Protect from moisture during storage
- Handle to prevent tearing and spillage
Storage
- Store in a dry, covered warehouse
- Keep packaging sealed when not in use
- FIFO for maintaining consistency across lots
