Electro-fused Zirconia Mullite 0.5–1mm
A fine-sized fraction of electro-fused zirconia mullite (0.5–1 mm) used to refine packing and surface finish in refractory formulations.
Description
Produced by electric-furnace melting and controlled solidification, then crushed and graded. When blended with coarser fused grains, this fraction helps balance flowability, density, and surface quality in castables or ramming mixes intended for thermal and chemical stability.
Applications
- Intermediate fraction in fused-grain castables
- Repair mixes and trowel-applied refractories
- Graded blends to tune thermal-shock response
Packaging
- Supplied in sealed plastic-lined bags on pallets
- Each bag labeled with grade and size fraction
- Avoid excessive vibration and stacking
Storage
- Store under dry conditions away from water
- Reseal promptly after opening
- Use older material first in multi-lot inventories
